Podcast ‘The sincere stories’
The sincere stories from the dressing room, that’s what the Sport Stories podcast is about. With a candid conversation with Diede, the new podcast gets off to a good start. The conversations are about what is happening in on and of the stage in the world of top sport. The podcast can be listened to through the usual channels, with Diede kicking things off: “Until the Paralympics in Tokyo, I didn’t give myself a single afternoon off. Now I think that was a bit to intense.” Listen to the podcast on Spotify.
New Car
Earlier this year Renault joined forces with Diede and two other new brand ambassadors. This week Diede received the keys to a new Renault Megane E-Tech 100% electric as part of the partnership. The presentation of the electric model coincides with Roland-Garros, of which Renault is Premium Partner. Have you seen their great promo for Roland Garros? Click HERE.

Nike
I’m happy to announce that my partnership with Nike will continue. Since I started wearing the Swoosh at Wimbledon in July 2021 I have felt like a part of the family. I am honored to partner with a brand like Nike who believes that sport can break barriers, push limits, spark change and contribute to creating a more equitable future. My skills, speed and power on the court are matched by my passion to give back off the court. Wheelchair tennis has opened doors for me and I want to provide the opportunity to girls and boys to get active, pursue their dreams and reach their highest potential. As a woman with a disability, I think about those who have paved the way for me and how they used their platforms to create so much change, even beyond sport. I hope to be a role model for those around me and those after me, and I’m so excited to be a part of what Nike is bringing to the future of paralympic sports.
Renault
Last year Renault entered into a five-year partnership with Roland Garros. And now Renault has chosen three tennis players as brand ambassadors.
I’m glad I’m one of the three tennis players! As ambassador i will support Renault’s initiatives to promote access to sport. Renault is strengthening its commitment to tennis as part of ‘Give Me 5’, the brand’s CSR initiative aimed at young people in deprived neighbourhoods. A nice goal and i am thankfull that I can contribute to this.

Citi Netherlands welcomes Diede de Groot in Team Citi
As the countdown to Tokyo continues Dutch wheelchair tennis player Diede de Groot will be joining a roster of global Para athletes advocating for inclusivity both within and outside of sport.
De Groot, who will be Team Citi’s first Wheelchair Tennis player, recently claimed yet another title at the 2021 Wimbledon singles championship, as well as her second singles Roland-Garros title in June. “Citi has been a great advocate for inclusivity within society and to change perceptions of people with disabilities. It is something I experience daily as do millions of other people living with disabilities. Through my sport, I want to inspire all people to start to move and believe in their dreams. I really like that a company like Citi supports me and wants to inspire millions of people around the world. From today onwards, I am proud that we will fight together to accomplish our mission to help raise awareness” says Diede.

Citi first began its partnership with the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) in 2018. As a member of the IPC, de Groot will support Citi’s global efforts to foster a more diverse, inclusive society and help change perceptions of people with disabilities. To date, Team Citi already counts 55 para athletes from around the world. In addition to its partnership with the IPC, Citi currently partners with 23 National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) including Australia, Bulgaria, Chinese Taipei, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Kazakhstan, , Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Thailand, and the UAE.

In late June, Citi launched its #StareAtGreatness campaign across various social platforms.
