Diede de Groot
Tennis Academy

The Diede de Groot Academy supports young people with physical disabilities through wheelchair tennis worldwide. In addition to sports training, the academy focuses on building self-confidence, resilience, and personal growth. We do this by organizing training sessions, camps, and events for young, talented children with disabilities and their coaches. Founder Diede de Groot – multiple Paralympic champion – believes that sport is a powerful key to equal opportunities.

Our Mission

  • Creating tennis opportunities for young people with disabilities.

  • Promoting equal opportunities on and off the court.

  • Building an inspiring and inclusive wheelchair tennis community.

  • By supporting the development of coaches, we contribute to sustainability within the sport of tennis.

“I realize how special the opportunities are that I’ve been able to seize. I’ve done a lot on my own, but never without support.”

Through hands-on workshops, online knowledge sessions, inspiring clinics, and videos, expertise is expanded, and coaches contribute to a sports world where everyone can truly take part.

Partners

Just like a top athlete, an Academy also needs a strong team: a team you can rely on, that inspires trust, and that does everything to achieve great results together. Thanks to the dedication and commitment of our partners, we can give young tennis players the opportunity to develop their full potential and pursue their dreams.
